Dear All,

It is our pleasure to invite all our members to attend a one day conference led by Rev Fr Dr George Pulikotil on the subject of "Prayer and its importance in our daily life." Though our focus group for this year's conference is our youth, we believe that it will be spiritually fulfilling for all our members and we urge you to attend.

Lunch will be provided and we request you to RSVP your attendance which will help our planning purpose.

 

Here is a broad outline of our conference 'Prayer and its importance in our daily life' . 

The conference is conceived to be a blend of both theory of prayer and its practical applications. The first session will be an ice breaking session and Achen will address all those who have gathered. We will then move into a Bible study where in we look closely at the prayer of Daniel and other prayers that we will find in the Bible. The first two sessions are expected to run from 10 am till 11.30 am. We will then have a break for 15 minutes. The next session will run from 11.45 till 1, during which we will have discussion about the various models of prayers. We will talk about the written prayers that the Orthodox church uses and will encourage our youth to ask questions.

We will break for lunch from 1 till 2 and after we reconvene, we will talk about the practical applications of prayer in our lives. Should we just resort to prayer when we need to get something done ? Achen was of the opinion that following this time if need be, he could start the one-on-one session with the children/youth.
